Kiltipper Woods Care Centre comprises of a Day Care Centre and Residential Accommodation primarily single en-suite rooms with a number of double en-suite rooms. There is also an intensive nursing unit for High Dependency Care. The centre provides 24-hour nursing care. Residents and Patients receive individual attention from trained professionals. A Doctor is on call at all times. The Resident has a choice of his or her own GP. A Care Plan is carefully tailored for each resident’s individual needs. The Care Plan is person centred and is established with valuable input from the resident/patient, their family and or significant other. It is important that we understand and continue the routines of home and learn more about our resident’s hobbies likes and dislikes. We aim to provide for our resident a complete range of services that reflect the individual’s needs and circumstances. The focus of the Centre is to provide a centre of excellence for all in our care.

Spiritual Needs: An oratory is provided for Mass, Services and Prayers. Clergy from all denominations visit the centre regularly or on request. Weekly mass, services and a radio link to the local church for morning mass is provided |
Kiltipper Woods Care Centre is approved by VHI and other insurance and welfare schemes for convalescence following a hospital stay.
Fully Registered by the HSE under the Health (Nursing Home) Act 1990.

A progressive ethos in Day Care is provided where clients can attend on a daily basis; receive continued care in terms of Nursing Care, Personal Hygiene and Physiotherapy. Fall prevention and safety in the home advice is offered. Wound Care Management, Health Promotion, General Health Advice including Nutrition is also offered.
Day trips, shopping trips, exercise/activities, arts and crafts and a wide range of Activities and therapies are provided as part of a holistic programme.
Should they not wish to participate in group activities and prefer some quiet time to themselves this too is catered for. Clients can attend on a daily basis, or care can be organised for just a few hours a day where the client can come and take part in social interaction and have a nutritional meal. It is the intention of Kiltipper Woods Care Centre to extend our services to Homecare, all of which will enhance our links with the community. In circumstances where people find themselves with little support at home, but who perhaps with care and support from the centre could continue to live in their own home.
Rehabilitation is provided for the Dublin Hospitals. In circumstances where it is more appropriate following the post acute hospital stage of illness, when the person is ready for discharge from hospital but not ready to return home, the patient can benefit from continued care and rehabilitation in an appropriate setting such as Kiltipper Woods. Our Multidisciplinary Team approach incorporates quality nursing care and a Physiotherapy programme to ensure best results in the shortest time frame. The team is focused on implementing a person centered programme to facilitate recovery and improve general well-being
To assist in the network of support for both patient and patient's family the centre offers respite care on a weekly, bi-weekly, or on a weekend basis, thus relieving pressure and stress on family and carers. It is a secure and comfortable environment where patients can receive appropriate care at their level of need, all services provided by the centre will be offered to respite patients.
For the older person who despite care interventions from hospital, community and family can no longer be maintained at home for social or medical reasons. Care is provided meeting in particular the needs of people with significant disabilities. Emphasis on rehabilitative nursing and a comprehensive therapy programme including physiotherapy and Activity programme is offered to assist residents in regaining and maintaining confidence and the skills necessary to reach the highest independent functioning level possible.
Residents with Dementia/Alzheimer’s and related conditions are cared for in a specially designed unit within a secured and protected setting. Staff are specially trained in the care of those with memory impairment and behavioural problems associated with this condition. Residents can engage in activities to meet their needs, interest and attention span. Activities are physically, creatively, musically, spiritually and socially stimulating. These success orientated activities focus on what the resident can still do, rather than what they can't.
Younger Person with a Disability

Nursing/ Rehabilitation Care for the Younger Person with a Disability is provided at a level appropriate to each individual's needs. Care Plans are carefully tailored to meet their many special needs. There is also an intensive nursing unit for those with significant disabilities
A relative support group is established where advice and understanding is offered by qualified personnel; it provides the opportunity for relatives to meet others with common interest.
A Resident/Family Committee

A resident/family committee is established where all residents are encouraged to voice their opinion and concerns during regular meetings of the committee. We encourage family involvement as well. We adhere to a quality improvement Programme to ensure that our commitments to our residents and families are upheld.
